Chest Pain Center Accreditation

Are you reluctant to tell someone of these symptoms?

Do you have any of these other associated symptoms:

    • Clammy perspiration

    • Shortness of breath

    • Nausea or dizzines

    • Discomfort that goes from the chest to your left arm or to your jaw

If you carry with you nitroglycerin, does the nitroglycerin seem to take away the discomfort within 5 minutes?

If you answered yes to most of these questions you owe it to yourself to get these symptoms checked out immediately at the nearest hospital's Emergency Room or Chest Pain Center. It is better to be safe than sorry.

These “beginnings” occur in over 50% of patients. Most importantly, if recognized in time, these “beginnings” can be treated before the heart is damaged! Heart disease causes about 1 of every 4 deaths in the United States. About 50% of sudden cardiac deaths occur outside a hospital. This suggests that many people don’t act on early warning signs. Survey results show that only 27% of the respondents were aware of

all major symptoms and knew to call 9-1-1.
